| As we initially advised when
the information was released in the July 2005 issue of
Keepin'Cool,
the world's only eZine for the automtotive A/C service and repair aftermarket,
the tests that
ChevyBob
performed using R-152a refrigerant we not labratory tests. However, they
sure did provide a lot of good information about how the refrigerant
performed.
ChevyBob used three Cadillacs
that were (for all intents and purposed) equipped with the same A/C system.
By that we mean even though the vehicles were three different model years,
the components were all interchangeable with each other. The vehicles had
the same condensers, the same evaporators, compressors, etc. Therefore, they
could be considered the same vehicle (or as close as you were going to
get!).
The results were well documented
and photographed at the time of the tests. All the information on the R-152a
tests complete with photos and performance charts can be found
right here.
Once again, we thank ChevyBob
for his efforts and for sharing them with us at autoACsystems.com. Since
the information was published, ChevyBob has set up his own web site. You
can ChevyBob's site direct from
here.
